When the Dutch launched a military aggression in Indonesia this school was closed, and since the end of the Dutch military aggression, this school was reopened as struggle school. In May 1, 1948 in 1948 State Senior High School 1 Pati changed status, the status of a state school (without the number 1) to SMA Negeri Pati.
